If you don’t remember the 1990s, then either you weren’t alive or you didn’t care about that awesome decade. I distinctly remember the classic TV of Disney and Nickelodeon. I didn’t watch those stations because I grew up a PBS kid. Big Comfy Couch, Arthur and Zoom were my shows. I watched the elegant public broadcasting station because it was one of the 5 channels that appeared in English on my TV. Cable was “a treat” only given during visits with my grandparents on major holidays or when mom was tired of listening to my siblings and I fight. I was only introduced to the elite television experience during these visits and with my limited time, I fell in love with Disney. It is a company built off dreams. I chose to dream as a child as I do now. Although, every dreamer remembers her roots and my roots consist of learning to love from old black and white videos, learning to cook from Julia Childs and learning to believe in the unbelievable from Mr. Rogers.
