People that do not know up from down need to be introduced to a compass. Up is north, it has always been north and yes, I AM talking to you. The chick who says I’m going up to Mexico and the dude that is going down to Canada should jump out of a plane and land face first into the Atlantic ocean - which is East for those that are struggling. Geography is something simple that we should all aim to understand. I’m not saying you need to know everything about foreign lands but you should know that Iran and Iraq are not the same place. (Just so you know Iranians are mainly Persian and Iraqis are mainly Arab. Iran is bigger with 80 million people to Iraq’s 30 million. Another thing is that the US has never invaded Iran.) You should also have a basic understanding of where you live. Its not hard if you just watch the news once a week because when they show you the weather they normally show it on a map. Weird thought I know but maps have been around for a long time. Basically I’m saying that if you live in a state, such as Illinois, you should know that Wisconsin is north, Iowa is west, Missouri is west, Kentucky is south east, Indiana is east and Michigan is north east... but doesn’t share a border although it does share lake Michigan. So when you travel, know where you are going and know where you are coming from... or at least consult a map and shut up.
Do not be confused precious... Alaska and Hawaii are not south west of USA. Alaska is basically Canada and Hawaii is a 5.5 hour flight west from California with a 3 hour time difference.
This post is in honor of my best friend who once said to get to Nashville, Tennessee we have to go through Missouri when we left from central Illinois.
